Elements of dark humour peek out in this short drama about a dangerous power play between two women. It's a very small project with big ambitions. Small crew and tiny budget, but heaps of talent. We have great actors which will allow the drama to burst through the fast-paced, quick-witted dialogue. Very character-driven, the visual style will nonetheless be highly polished.
We will be shooting in one single location in mid-January over three days. Our budget of £2000 will cover travel expenses, equipment rental, food, props etc... as well as all our post-production costs and festival entries.
£2000 is the very minimum we need but if the target is reached please don't feel like there's no point in helping us anymore, as extra money will help us send the film to more festivals, or maybe even give a little something to the cast and crew who are now working for free.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
SYNOPSIS
A decrepit bomb shelter. Two young women, TARA and ABBY, have kidnapped a GUY. Tara is clearly having more fun than Abby. As the pair wait for the right time to call in, the situation gets out of hand. What ensues is a dangerous power play between the two women that could easily escalate with dramatic consequences.
We don't know who this guy is or why they took him, and we don't care. What we do care about is the emotional ark of these women and how their relationship evolves, both towards each other and themselves, and how they will have to face their fears in order to gain control of the situation.
Three people, one knife, no winner.
