Payment System Upgrade on Tuesday 9th October

Submitted by gregory on Monday, Oct 8th - 16:21

Dear Sponsumers,

Exceptionally Sponsume will be offline between 9am and 1pm (London Time) on Tuesday 9th October, as we will be deploying our brand new Peer-to-Peer payment system.

The new system will bring about major improvements to Sponsume. Most notably, it will enable project creators to receive funds instantly and directly from their backers. This means project creators will no longer have to wait until the end of their campaign to access their funds and will be able to manage refunds easily and directly.

In addition, the new payment system will introduce a variety of new funding currencies. Currently Sponsume creators can raise funds in GB Pounds, Euros, US or Australian Dollars. From Tuesday 9th October, the following currencies will be added:

  • Canadian Dollar
  • New Zealand Dollar
  • Swiss Franc
  • Swedish Krona
  • Danish Krone
  • Norwegian Krone
  • Israeli Shekel
  • Czech Koruna
  • Polish Zloty
  • Hungarian Forint
  • Japanese Yen
  • Hong Kong Dollar
  • Philippines Peso
  • Singapore Dollar
  • Thai Baht
  • Taiwanese Dollar
  • Mexican Peso

We are also pleased to announce the forthcoming release of French, Spanish and Catalan language versions of Sponsume within the next few weeks.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused during the upgrade.

The Sponsume Team
