2012 saw the first ever National Flash-Fiction Day held in the UK. Events took place all over the country with tiny stories being written, read, shared and enjoyed in a wide range of ways. The video shows just one such event, held at The Shrewsbury Coffeeshop, and you can hear from the people who took part just how much they enjoyed it.
Other events included flash-fiction-flash-mobbing in Manchester, a flash-slam in Oxford, and the launch in Southampton of the first Flash-Fiction Day anthology, Jawbreakers.
This year we are hoping to add to our roster of competitions, readings, write-ins and other events and we need your help to ensure they can go ahead.
The money we are aiming to raise here will go towards the production of a new anthology for 2013, plus funding other activities including a new and improved website and links to our international partners creating the first ever International Flash-Fiction Day.
- Donating £10 will get your name listed in special 'thank you' sections of the website and the book.
- £20 will also get you a free copy of the book (signed by at least one author/edtor if you so desire).
- £50 or over will not only get you a thank you, and a book, but also a bespoke story pamphlet written and created for you by the day's director, Calum Kerr.
