BENEATH A NEON TIDE is a fully independent feature drama film fusing together the key ingredients of a coming of age drama with elements of romance and tragedy.

Storyline

Andy is a negative stereotype of youth culture in modern day urban Britain. A sequence of incidents followed by the death of his beloved grandmother trigger Andy's parents to react and send him away from the city to the beautiful English coast. Andy moves in with his beloved uncle David and begins working at the local cinema which David manages in order to pay his way. Fusing stories of addiction and love, Beneath a Neon Tide shows that there is always something just beneath the surface in all of us.

Schedule

Filming is approximately 50% complete with further shooting days set to complete the full picture by mid December 2012. From then the film will be rough edited through end of December 2012 - End of February 2013. The film will undergo complete sound design, final grading and soundtrack March - April 2013 with the film ready to be premiered and submitted to at least TEN international film festivals.

The film is fully independent and we pride ourselves on the fact we are making a beautiful film on a shoestring however there are several ways we can make this picture even better. User donations will cover a number of things from the final sound design of the film, venue hire for remaining scenes, equipment such as car mounts + jib and even simple everyday expenses such as travel between locations. We understand that today, money is tighter than ever which is why everybody that helps with this project becomes a genuine part of the crew.

Writer/Director - Simon P. Edwards

Simon is an independent film maker from the east of England. He has a number of festival award nominations to his name including two nominations at the British Horror Film Festival for his debut short horror drama film SMILEY and a Newfilmakers Festival L.A. nomination for his story PROXIMITY.
