Who are we?
We are Wires, an alternative rock band based in Bristol, UK. For the past year and a half we have been plugging and writing and gigging a whole lot and we are beginning to see the fruit in the wider music world. It is very exciting. This project is the next step in our career, and it’s a big old step. So, we are calling on you.
What is our current project?
We’re currently working on a brand new EP that we are hoping to release early in 2012. For a venture such as this there are a number of costs involved if we want to get it right and gain as much exposure as possible.
Recording/Production
We have already done the actual recording for our tracks, and based on the strength of our sound, we have the interest of a high profile Producer, who has offered us a great rate to mix and master it.
Much of our success is hinged on the time and talent of Joe Grouse. He recorded and produced our first EP for free and he did such an amazing job on it. Joe, once again, agreed to record our latest EP for us, but this time we want to pay him what he deserves.
Design
Another person we’re really excited to have on board is up-and-coming artist Bryn Jones who has received high praise from the art world in the past year. He is creating the artwork for this release, which we are very excited about.
These guys are absolutely incredible, and we want to pay them the full professional fee they deserve.
Marketing and PR
This is the crucial part! It will cover a three month campaign that will give us exposure on the radio, on the internet and in print publications nationwide. This will really kick up a buzz about the release. Also, we need an awesome launch party!
Distribution
Without this, nobody will actually get to hear our music! This will include: Physical CD’s and Digital Release to platforms such as iTunes, Spotify and Amazon.
