Take a skillet, put in some old school Ska and Rocksteady Music from the 50’s and 60’s, mix it with doo-wop, rhythm&blues, latin and balkan-like grooves, and let it cook. That is about the sound of BANG the Skillet! After the first wave in Jamaica, the second in the UK, the third in the US, this may become the fourth wave in Ska-music, right away from Delft, in the Netherlands! BANG the Skillet wants to bring the Ska to a new standard, the Skillet Ska! BANG the Skillet play their own songs and besides they cover songs written and performed by Laurel Aitken, Derrick Morgan, The Skatalites, The Slackers, Go Jimmy Go and HepCat.
