Who is this Martin Gooch bloke anyway?
Although still appearing to be in my very, very late twenties, I was actually born in 1872 due to an unexpected flux in the space time continuum.
Not a lot happened until 1992 when I was 119 (see above) and I went off to the US to be an Archaeologist, even though I didn't know anything about archaeology. I wanted to be a film director, but the US job came up. Not knowing about things has never really been a set back for me. After a degree in Film and Art, I started work in the VFX Department on Judge Dredd.
Since then I have worked on more than 200 productions from Harry Potter to East Enders and Robot Wars to Big Brother. I have filmed all over the world, from Sahara to swamp to Shepherd's Bush and still enjoy it.
I am the only person in the world to have been a winner with BBC Talent two years running. I've made about 20 short film things give or take a few, but I can't quite remember.
I've Directed Doctors on BBC, Hollyoaks on Channel 4 and Spooks interactive, which won a BAFTA and an EMMy nomination which was nice.
I have a Masters degree in screenwriting, have sold three scripts, had two commissions and written 14 - one a year every year. I have written the screenplay to Deathtrap Dungeon, based on the Ian Livingstone Fighting Fantasy Game-book of the same name. Hopefully this will go into production next year.
I love far fetched fiction and have written several short stories and comics and stuff, most of which have not been published which just goes to show how unjust the universe is. My first novel is complete, I'm just checking all the spellings and stuff.
I have recently completed shooting my first feature film as a Director entitled DEATH. It is currently in post production, and once complete will be an awesome cinematic force to be reckoned with.
