Clara had an early start exploring audiovisual media as an art practice at Soares dos Reis art school in Portugal. There she was involved in many video productions, which allowed her to experience filmmaking through every department and in conditions that demanded for unrelenting creativity and resourcefulness. Having moved to the UK, Clara is studying Film and Television BA at London College of Communication where she is gaining technical expertise by engaging in a varied array of projects in and outside of university, always pursuing an original perspective with an experimental edge.

Her passion for film also takes other forms of expression, from photography to multimedia, and she is particularly interested in new media and performance, taking part in events of the kind including the underground Festival Matanças in Porto and the Anti-Design Festival in London. Recently, Clara has been building a body of critical writing on cinema and filmmaking practice, having contributed for One+One Filmmakers Journal.
