Swansea Print Workshop Building Fund

Swansea, GB

We’ll soon be 15 but our building is feeling its age. Please help us get our premises looking its best to celebrate our 15th Anniversary next year.

Swansea Print Workshop is a vibrant, not-for-profit Print Workshop in the heart of Swansea. We believe printmaking is an accessible art form for everyone, an exciting discipline for artists to work in and engaging and affordable for supporters of the visual arts.

Although we’re small, we’re ambitious! Not only do we offer studio facilities to printmakers, we run Outreach workshops for schools and community groups, have an active annual workshop and exhibiting programme and enjoy challenging our members creatively with regular art projects. Please read more about us on our website.

In 2015 we celebrate our 15th anniversary as an organisation open to the public with our SPW|15 Years project. We have planned a packed year-long programme of events and activities which will demonstrate, celebrate and engage all the dimensions which make up the unique organisation that is Swansea Print Workshop. We are delighted that the Arts Council of Wales is supporting our project activities with a funding grant next year.

We’re proud of the journey we’ve come on over these years. From the altruistic vision of a small group of printmakers in 1998, we now have premises which support a wide range of traditional and contemporary printmaking equipment and creative activity.

Our building though is really feeling its age and requires some essential maintenance and upgrading to get us looking fantastic in time to welcome everyone for our anniversary next year.

As we don’t receive any core funding, such additional costs have to be found through fundraising and we hope we can raise some of the costs with your help.

We are offering lots of lovely rewards to anyone who is able to donate to our building fund.  Our artist members and supporters have generously gifted prints and other hand-crafted items for our fundraising efforts and we are also offering packs of postcards and lots of energetic children’s work from past projects.

A few practicalities: We have numbered our rewards and images from 1 to 28 so you can easily find the one which appeals to you. All amounts include cost of postage and packing for mainland UK.  We know we have a lot of supporters and fellow printmakers across the world so if you would like to contribute to our building fund, please email for details of postage outside the UK. |  The sizes given for the prints are the sizes of the image unless stated otherwise.  |  For those rewards which we are allocating at random we are happy to receive an email from you stating your preferred choice which we will do our best to fulfil.

We hope you find something in our rewards to tempt you. Our heartfelt thanks for any support you offer us. We welcome you all to join us next year in our celebrations.

The owner of this project has not made any updates yet.
