Rest Stop
What is Rest Stop?
Rest Stop is a story originally written by Stephen King, adapted for the screen by Joe Youngman; it follows author John Dykstra, who writes under the pen name of Rick Hardin, who has had too much beer to drink at his mystery writer's group meeting and desperately needs to find a rest stop on his journey back, There is only one other car at the rest stop and he hears its occupants in the Ladies' Room. It is a woman's and a man's voice he hears coming from the bathroom and clearly the sounds of domestic abuse. John Dykstra has to decide how, or even if, he will act to stop it.
Rest Stop will be shot from the 21st-25th of March 2012 in and around Leeds, West Yorkshire.

How can you Help?
We currently have around half of the budget we require to shoot the film. The remaining budget will be used to create more captivating sets, secure locations and to hire additional camera equipment to help enhance the look of the film.
Any donation you feel you can give to the project will be greatly appreciated. We have some good rewards on offer for you such as credits, promotional material, copies of the film soundtrack and even a chance to come on set.
If you are unable to make a monetary contribution to the film, please take the time to repost our page and spread the word about Rest Stop.
We feel we have a unique idea that has been adapted from Stephen King's original work. We are honoured to have the opportunity to work with one of his stories and would very much like to do justice to the story. This extra funding will allow us to make this a reality and help us create the best film that we can.
