Story

In a post apocalyptical world, a reporter wants to make his life's journey, a documentary of life as a refugee. Dressed up as a refugee he will follow other refugees through the landscapes before reaching the big city of Sarn. He has small mini cameras attached to himself, and when he finds the perfect "victim" of his journey and documentary he will attach a camera to that person so we all can see his point of view.
Soon he finds a lonely boy, and decides to make him the star of his journey, without the boy knowing anything. Together they walk through the landscape of destruction and warzones. They get picked up by a merchandiser who let them work at his place for safety and guidance.
They get separated from each other and the reporter returns to the city, still following the boy, who now is alone in a foreign world, struggling to survive. And the reporter enjoys the fact that his documentary will be the best one ever.

The plan

This film is planned to be shot in Sweden on the small island Gotland during the spring and early summer 2013.

This is an indiefilm project, and by that we mean a true indiefilm project. We have no budget and are filming when we have time, a location and has raised enough money to food, gas and other things needed. All the actor are working for free and so does the crew.

We are using locations all over Gotland and if we need to build up a set we'll do that. And we are mixing experienced people with newcomers both behind and in front of the camera.

And our goal is to have premier at Uppsala International Short Film Festival 2013.

What do we need and what do you get?

We need your help to raise enough money to feed our actors, have enough money for gas in our cars, making new props and building set and for some special equipment in some scenes.

We ALSO need help with making material for some tv-screens that appears from time to time. We have some things in the script and some additional video clips that has to be made, and if you are a filmmaker and/or actor who wants to be a part of this project please send us an email to get more information about how you can help without supporting us financial. ()

And we are in need of people who want to make 3D-backgrounds and help us with After Effects editing.

So, what will you get from us in return, except from our devoted gratitude you will gain a copy of the film, your name in the credits, photos from the production and a feeling of helping some one out, and that feeling use to be a good feeling.

Thank you so much for contributing to this project. We got close to 10% of the budget and that helps us a lot! Now we can make the last week of filming really good and we are lookng forward to keep you updated with vlogs and other updates on the progress.

Right now we have edited a rough cut of 60% of the film, and those 60% are around 50 minutes of edited material. It is just so amazing that we are going for a feature film, and that with almost no money in our pockets! We have made wonders with what we have around us, and thanks to your contribution we have kept going and will until the film is out on the market.

Here is a little vlog from our studio shots. We had two days of filming, same walls, but a bit re-arranged in between to make it look a bit different.

Close, but yet so far...
Posted: Wednesday, 05 June, 2013 - 10:06

We are getting closer to the end, but still we have a lot of things to do, and no time to do it in. So we are a bit stressed right now.

For the moment we are trying to build up our main set, but are struggeling with time and space to build on. Once we have all the walls made we can go on filming.

And an other issue is that we are running out of money. Yes, we have to be honest and this will become a problem soon.

We are so greatfull for our two associate producers that have contributed to us! That makes us so happy! We just hope that there will be more people out there who wants to support us.

But we will keep on filming and make this film as good as it can be, and hopefully we will have a finished product in the late fall.

Keep going!
Posted: Friday, 17 May, 2013 - 20:05

We have now filmed a total of 18 scenes for this film! 18!!!! And a lot of 2nd unit as well.

Still we are a bit stressed over time. There is very little time left, if we should be able to film everything before June 18. But we are trying hard to manage it.

Last two days Pierre has been in a small studio and filmed 4 new scenes with Anders Eng, that plays Seb, and Jonas Larsson-Grönström, that plays the Tech. And we got wonderfull footage.

Next week we will film a lot. Several new scenes and the week after that we can finally get in to our studio and start to build up two important sets! But we still need all the financial support we can get. So please support us if you want to see a super cool film!

And here is our latest Vlog! :)

A lot!
Posted: Wednesday, 15 May, 2013 - 15:05

Last week we filmed a lot. We had 1½ wonderful days filming in Fårösund and just outside of Visby.

And during the Thursday we filmed 3 scenes and some extra material for a TV-screen, in the film. And that became a total of 8 minutes. And during the friday we filmed 2½ scenes. We have to continue with an other scenes next week.

This week we will film many scenes: 4 scenes and 4 2nd Unit scenes. All at the same locations and with only two actors.

The progress os going forward, even though we have very little time left. But we keep fighting for our right to make this film!

And we are in need of an editor that can edit the film for us. Preferable tha he och she is living on Gotland. We are looking for all the help we can get.

Next week.
Posted: Wednesday, 01 May, 2013 - 15:05

Next week... That is all I can say right now. Next week. Then we will film as much as possible and hopefully have so many more scenes to edit.

Next week. It is all about next week, sort of. :)

New actress onboard!
Posted: Wednesday, 17 April, 2013 - 11:04

We are so happy to announce that we have signed Agneta Gazelius as our "Ilma Dorisova". Agneta is a talented and eperienced actress with many productions behind her.

She will make a great Ilma since Agneta has a way of capture a character with such intensity and to find the very soul of the character she is playing!

New actor!
Posted: Friday, 12 April, 2013 - 16:04

We give a warm welcome to our latest actress: Olivia Hoy!

She will play the part as Mimmi, a girl that Sonny meets in a village and that he later will meet again and the will need each other.

Olivia has some experience of acting and has a real interest in acting. And we are very happy to have here onboard!

Costumes.
Posted: Tuesday, 09 April, 2013 - 21:04

Bought some new costumes for some characters today. It is hard to find the right clothes for the different characters.

In this world people in the wild get their clothes from the street. They just take what they can find, even if it has a hole in them they are still useful and protects from the cold. Still the different characters need to have their own look depending on where they come from and where they live.

For example Sonny and his little sister Amy has been raised at a pioneer home. They have to have a simillar look and are dressed in blue coats, white shirts and bright pants.

Jay and Bernard on the other hand are living in the wild and has to have more nature coloured clothes that also can keep tham warm and moveable.

Seb is the tricky one, since he doesn't know what clothes he has to wear to fit in. He just takes what he think will look good and hope that he can look a little more like a refugee. He will wear a green leather jacket, that is a bit torn, and for pants, we don't know yet.

But we just love running at yard sales and second hand stores to find clothes for the different characthers.

Comment from the scriptwriter!
Posted: Wednesday, 03 April, 2013 - 19:04

The scriptwriter, Torbjörn, say that he thinks it is so cool that we are making the film! That we still bielive in the story even though it was written in the mid 90's.

He will follow our work and I hope that he will enjoy what he sees.

Feels great to have his blessing!

Closer to our goal!
Posted: Wednesday, 03 April, 2013 - 09:04

Just got $38 thank to selling of an old sword I had. So there other ways to contribute and we are slowly getting closer to our $770 goal so we can build up our new set!

Urgent!
Posted: Monday, 01 April, 2013 - 20:04

Were out on some location scouting today and when we got to one of the locations we needed the most, and already has presented as a comming location, the house here below, we found out that the house now has been rebuilt and used for a hotel.

This became an issue that we have a solution on. We are going to build our own set! And we have a location for that, and a blueprint for the house and now need to raise around $770 for building material. For those money we will both get an interior and exterior of a house that will be a main location in the film.

So please, support us and share this with your friends so they can support us as well. Never before have we built so much for a film, but this time it is needed. And we are working with Supervising Set Designer Edvin Steen who has a history of making wonderful sets.

We have also a land owner that has given us a perfect place to build up the set.

Here is our new location where we will build up our set!

Here is a location that Edvin Steen built up for a commercial:

Audition!
Posted: Wednesday, 27 March, 2013 - 21:03

We will meet a young actress for one of the bigger small parts during next week. Hope to find someone that can act well against John Sink to make the story even more intense.

Also have one more location comming up! An old factory that is partial abandoned that we hope we can use for two scenes.

We never give up making this film! And we have suc a great time while making it.

Possible location!
Posted: Sunday, 24 March, 2013 - 20:03

This is one of our locations we are aiming for to get. Will have a meeting with the owner within 1-2 weeks. This will be the location for Jay and Bernard where Sonny and Seb will have their first meeting with the people living in the dangerous zone.
