What is 'Echo'?
Echo is a short film, the likes of which has not been seen often in cinema and will offer a suspenseful and head scratching viewing for the audience. Influences such as Christopher Nolan’s method of story telling used in (The Dark Knight, Memento) “Doodlebug” and shooting style of David Fincher (Seven, The Social Network) make this film an exciting and original project to be a part of! The film intends to capture the suspenseful feel and classy cool look that was created in the days of film Noir but will also delight the tastebuds of the sci-fi, cold thriller fans.
"You wake up on an abandoned London Underground Platform, locked and sealed in. Your head is bleeding, your vision is blurred. It's cold, dark and you're all alone. You cannot remember a thing, the only sign of life is running into the darkness...
- Our lead character"
Combining film noir, sci-fi and british thriller genres this film is to be a unique, original and a heart driven experience... If you make it happen!
How you can make it happen
We are in need of an investment(s) totalling £2500, we already have an additional £500 in place. From £1.00 to £1000; every contribution counts and we are very very grateful for anything you are willing to invest to help 'Echo' come alive! This is not like sponsering your mate for a marathon, instead we have devised some exciting and tantalising rewards/incentives for the kind folks who invest their hard earned money to help fund the following;
Locations Costs
To shoot at our amazing location (Unfortunately locations like this arent cheap!) the largest proportion of our budget will be going towards paying 'The London Underground Film Office' to shoot in "Aldwych Underground Station" - which was featured in the blockbuster film "V for Vendetta" (2006). This is where the bulk of our filming will take place.
Lighting Equipment Hire
The other portion of the budget will be allocated to our talented DoP Michael Spry, so he can hire the best lighting rigs/lights to give our film the highest quality and definitive feel, making it stand head and shoulder with big budget films.
Props and Art Department
For our film to have its signature look and level of professionalism our art and props department (Sophie and Saff) need to have some money so they can make our set look beautiful, dark, dank, cold, desolate and... you get the picture.
Food and Expenses
The rest of our budget will be going toward our talented actors and crew. Our boys & girls are working for free, we cant be letting them go hungry now, that'd be just plain rude!

Why help?
This film will be more than just a chance to entertain. It will be used as a platform for all those involved to showcase the creative talents they have, which otherwise would not be possible. The people who are involved in this film make it truly special. It is being produced, shot and edited by young people working hard to establish themselves in a competitive industry in an unstable economic climate. Many people are giving up on their dreams of working in the film industry out of necessity, we dont want that!
Upon completion we will be submitting the film onto the film festival circuit, where it will be showcased to film fans, industry professionals and producers. This can create an opportunity for those involved to possibly gain future work, make connections or even gain funding for a future project!
With your help we would be very grateful and would be honoured for you to be a part of our project.
