Our project is a concert performance of Mary of the High Seas, a rip-roaring pirate musical written by Joel Mason and composed by Rosie Bans and Bruce Fraser with additional music by Theo Seller and Greg Fullarton.
Set in the turbulent world of the back streets of London, the battlefields of Flanders and the rolling adventure of the high seas the story takes Mary from a selfish young tomboy with a huge chip on her shoulder, to gregarious war hero, to self-reliant pirate with the heart of a lion… in the body of a woman… disguised as a man.
Your support will pay for rehearsal and performance space, props, costumes, printing, publicity, actors, a musical director and more. From this concert performance we will be able to get the feedback and exposure necessary to move this play on to the next stage, not to mention being able to pay the artists involved. Heck... I've still gotta pay my fantastic film crew.
A little further down are links to our sites but please click on one of the ship’s crew positions to the right to become a part of the madness. Thank you so much for your help.
