David Thomas Broughton - it's in there somewhere film

We are making a film about David Thomas Broughton.

David holds a unique position in the popular music landscape of the United Kingdom. He is widely known within musician circles, and plays to packed houses in all parts of Europe.

David has significant cult support in all parts of the world. Responses to his work are often fanatical adoration, often hatred.

David has been absent from regular performance, a trickle of new material emerges here and there, suddenly a performance, a short interview, a you-tube video... but what does this tell us about him, what is real and what is not about the stage persona. Sometimes uncomfortable, sometimes alarming, sometimes funny, often sad...tapping into those most basic of human emotions

We will follow David when he resurfaces for a short tour in the EU in June 2012 hopefully interviewing the man himself and finding more about what divides an audience.

We will interview many of those who love David. We will interview many of those who hate him. Also a few who are indifferent (there aren't many).

There will be insights, cover versions, tour stories and more.
