Come On Girls is a 45-minute comedy talk show that will be filmed in front of a live studio audience, to be broadcast online. Presented by award-winning actress Lauren Silver and her comedy partner Helen Foster, with direction from Rosie Wilkinson, Come On Girls is a show intended to close the gap between live studio television and webseries.
In 2011 Lauren, Helen and Rosie piloted the concept as a series of stage shows, based on a format gifted to them by Canadian improvisors 'Hey Ladies', who perform the show to sell out crowds in Edmonton. The UK shows were a massive success, and the trio teamed up with OpiateTV, and award-winning producer Lee Isserow to take the show to the next level; as a fully fledged TV talk show for the internet.
Four months in to pre-production and the studio is ready for the set, the guests are booked, the writing underway, and the crew raring to go - but we're running low on funds and we've got a set to build, guests need their expenses paying, we need to rent a crane for beautiful swooping shots over the audience, and there are some location fees that will need paying for our outdoor shoots.
We'll be filming the first six episodes from mid-October, and have some great rewards on offer that we hope you'll love. In addition to the rewards we've put together, OpiateTV, the site that will be distributing our show has offered a grand prize for any sponsor kind and generous enough to cover the whole cost.
This is a project we love so much. We've spent almost two years developing it from concept to stage and now to screen, so from all three of us, thank you for checking out our project, and thank you even more if you've decided to part with your money to help us get our show one step closer to reality.
