Art studio makeover

Hello my name’s Judith Farr and I’m a visual artist, originally from London, I’ve been living in Catalonia for about 10 years. After studying Art and Spanish at uni I wanted to spend some more time in Spain and so I did, and I've been here teaching English and translating ever since. However, during this time, artistically I felt very lost I couldn't seem to express myself although I kept making work and learning new skills I always felt quite blocked.

 

It wasn't untill I was pregnant with my daughter Júlia that I started to paint abstracts and that seemed to unlock something inside me. About a year ago some friends allowed me to use a loft as a studio space and this has been really beneficial to my work. 10 years after my first degree I'm finally going to start an MFA this September and I'm so excited about it. I just need to make a few improvements to my studio and I'll be able to do even more work! 

 

The reason why I’m doing this crowdfunding is to improve my studio space. It desperately needs some improvements before winter comes; for example, some insulation, heating, and some new flooring. I’m trying to raise £1,000 before September so that I can start the building works and get it all ready before winter.
