1.       Who am I?

My name is Josh Becker and I’m an actor. I graduated Arts Ed with a BA (Hons) in acting in 2009. I have toured with theatre productions in the UK & in Germany, and had a successful run of a show in at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which was then bought and taken to Goa India.

I have also done several commercials, one currently on Television in which I get to play a Parasite (well worth three years at drama school). I have also had my picture up on buses for the past year in mid-sneeze, which is always very complimentary.

I have also done several short films, and did an English-Teaching Educational series, which has been distributed around the world.

2.       What is the project?

The project is a short film written by myself and my good friend Joseph Fackenheim. It is a pilot for a bigger and broader idea that Joseph and I have. The aim of this project is to get production companies interested and be able to expand it to a web series or more.

The film itself is a combination of a psychological thriller and slapstick comedy.

The story is about Mickey, a struggling actor. One night when he is working hard learning lines for an audition he hears strange noises and cannot work out where they are coming from. Along the way his suspicions vary and as the film progresses he starts questioning his own sanity.

I will be playing the part of Mickey, and Joseph will be playing Dave his bizarre neighbour. We also have two lovely actresses, Efrat Levy playing role of Katie, Mickey’s frustrated girlfriend, and Smadar Zohar playing Annabella, Dave’s equally bizarre girlfriend.

3.       What do I plan to do with the donation?

In order to get production companies interested, we really need to make the film as professional as possible.

The donations would help cover the costs of hiring a professional director cameraman & soundman, pay for location and outstanding props.

Any money made on top of that would be distributed equally between the actors, to thank them from giving up their free time and putting a lot of hard work into this project voluntarily.
