Simon D. Heaven: 'Jests to Depress' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Edinburgh, United Kingdom
FUNDED

Hello,

I'm Simon D. Heaven and generally, I don't like things like this. So from the first; No, you really don't owe me anything. Not for friendship, guilt, distant familial ties, blackmail or the safe return of a hostage.

Please know that I wouldn't presume to ask you to give me even a hard-earned penny were it not for the fact that at this point, even small change would be of vast importance to me.

I am a stand-up comedian, and things are going okay for me. In under two years I've achieved a Royal Television Society Award nomination, reached the final of Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year, the semi-final of Leicester Square Theatre New Comedian of the Year and made the shortlist for the BBC New Comedy Award. There are many more awards and competitions that I've also failed to win (I was overlooked for that OBE this year, AGAIN.), but that's really besides the point.

In August, I plan to take my first half-hour stand-up show up to the famous Edinburgh comedy festival, however even with the cheapest arrangements I can manage, the trip is prohibitively expensive.

I'm trying to raise three-hundred pounds. Three-hundred pounds would allow me to share the cost of a camping space and half a stack of flyers.

Information about the show 'Jests to Depress' can be found here.

Thank you very much for reading. Seriously, if you could afford to donate anything, it'd be a massive help and I'd be forever grateful.

£1

£1.00 or more : It's several packs of unhealthy noodles. Slightly more nutritious than the packaging. Every little helps!

£3

£3.00 or more : It's a cup of coffee, or more noodles. Or a pint to sob into after a tough gig to three sleeping drunks and a lethargic dog.

£5

£5.00 or more : It's a fiver. It'd probably see me through a day, with care.

£10

£10.00 or more : It's really generous. A massive help.

£20

£20.00 or more : It' would actually be enough to make me speechless, but not too speechless to perform. An important mitigation.
