Pro

Liverpool, United Kingdom
FUNDED

Thank you for looking into donating to help fund our short film, Pro. Please have a look at the video from the project's hugely talented director, Daniel Fitzsimmons.

As Dan says in the video, any money donated will be for completion costs and costs accrued to date. Pro's a project inspired by the increased prevalence of footballers on Twitter but also on their strange status in society, switching easily from hero and villain in terms of what they do both on and off the pitch. We have more access to them than ever but dehumanise them more and more and in Pro we wanted to look at that - footballer as owned by society, club and agent, struggling to break out of those chains but with ultimately quite a dull, cosseted existence.

A group of people came together to help us shoot it, to act, to film, to record or just to generally lift and shift. They were very kind to do so. We're pleased with the results but want to give it a last push. We'll be screening the result in Liverpool and will try to arrange a London screening as well if possible. All sponsors will definitely be invited to the Liverpool screening and also to any London screening. There will be a bit of a chat and a Q&A and we might even chat a bit about football!

Any support you can give us is great and we'll also make the film freely available on the internet. This is Film 1st's first project (www.film1st.net is our website) and we're glad to be able to share it with as many people as possible.

Thank you for taking the time and for any donation.
