“My eyes! It’s all I can do to shut them at all. It used to be that they were shut even before my head hit the pillow. Ah, the pillow…”
Following our first major short film production ‘Moonwalker’, currently in consideration for the Shorts Toronto International Film Festival, Raindance, and the Crystal Palace Film Festival, this coming July we at Lightman and Lightman Productions (www.lightmanandlightman.co.uk) are embarking on our next major short film project ‘Pillow Talk’, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Shot entirely in High Definition over two days and developed in association with members of the Wireless Theatre Company (www.wirelesstheatrecompany.co.uk), ‘Pillow Talk’ is to be a ten minute surreal psychological wander through a relationship inspired by a sleep-deprived mind in which two men, one of which may or may not be a horse, ruminate over the definition of a pillow.
We can't quite get our heads around it either but for some reason Alex Lightman the director has decided that the best way to raise money for this project is to dress in a suit and a horse's head and run a half marathon along the Thames....oh and he thinks it'll be better if he doesn't do any training beforehand! Despite our best efforts to persuade him otherwise the run will be taking place on the 4th July, starting at the London Eye, and finishing some 13 7⁄64 miles West along the river. We kindly ask that you humour his delusion and sponsor him by backing this project.
We'd like to point out that this is not a pre-arranged run, so if you are in the area and see an exhausted individual with a small team of people filming as he vomits by the tow path DO NOT PANIC!
...oh and don't worry, every moment of this horrendous undertaking will be filmed for your pleasure and screened here and via www.pillowtalkfilm.co.uk.
