PLOT

A short comedy about growing up... and superheroes.

Maturity is an ambiguous and intimidating part of life , but when superhero
enthusiast Ed is exiled from his L.A.R.Ping (live-action-role-playing) clan, life
seems lost.

His medical condition 'hypoglycemia' causes unpredictable blood sugar crashes, too
much of a liability for his team on the role-play battlefield. All superheroes have an
Achilles heal, and Ed views this more than a coincidence. In an attempt to fulfil what he believes is destiny, Ed assumes an alter ego. Taking to the streets of Leeds, he leads a one-
man army to clean the filth. Unfortunately, reality isn’t quite the comic book literature Ed imagined it to be.

Scaring little girls and armed only with tobasco, things escalate quickly.
Every teenager struggles to fit in, but Ed is outcast by the world. Accidentally
beating a child, there is no one who could make a worse superhero.

As fantasy and reality evidently don’t blend, failure draws near….BUT…
In the most unlikely circumstances and twist of fate, Ed stumbles into a
situation parallel to one he may find printed in colourful comic-book literature. With an
achievement only Ed could fathom, he shares more in common with his caped
crusaders than initially thought….

“Fantasy don’t want him, reality need him.”

CREW

The crew working on this film are all graduating from The Northern Film School. Having worked together before, we are passionate about what we do and have confidence in ourselves to produce work leading into the industry. Extremely hard working, we want to create not just a high quality film, but also something original that audiences will enjoy.

THE BUDGET

The money raised is vital in covering the expenses of a rented Canon c300 film camera for the duration of a six day shoot, the creation of the HYPO HERO suit, the hire of a stunt choreographer and the safe environment in which to damage a car.
