Octandre Ensemble: Anglo-French Composers’ Forum

The Octandre Ensemble brings together six emerging composers based on either side of the channel, for an exploratory weekend of discussions, workshops and performances of specially composed works. For audience, composers and performers alike, the weekend offers wonderful opportunities for discovery, reflection and debate.

Gamelan Room, LSO St Luke’s

An afternoon of discussion in which the composers will collectively explore their attitudes and approaches to composition, discussing issues ranging from the influences of other music/tradition to their personal techniques and aesthetic.

Open workshop & performance

Sunday 4 November, 10am-5.30pm

Jerwood Hall, LSO St Luke’s

A day of open workshops with the Octandre Ensemble and composers Benjamin Attahir, Darren Bloom, David Hudry, Elo Masing, Christian Mason and Benoit Montambault. The day culminates in a performance of the six works followed by a wine reception.

Tickets: 4pm Concert £5; includes free access to workshops
