ArtLacuna is an artist collective based near Clapham Junction in London set up by Fine Arts Masters Alumni Chris Cawkwell, Amelia Critchlow, Jane Harris and Alex March. We will be running an open-to-all mixed use art space which will offer exhibitions, talks programmes, workshops, artist residencies and artist studios in the heart of the community in 2013 and beyond. We hope to provide a relaxed drop-in atmosphere that helps de-mystify contemporary arts for a local audience.
The project will create a creative hub that closes the gap between disciplines and explores the creative process as experienced by artists, designers, makers and thinkers, providing a resource for local professional and student communities and opportunities for the local community to access the arts in various ways.
