24.3.12 Update
Yesterday we reached our target! We can't thank you enough for all of your help, it's absolutely amazing to have so much support.
You can still back the film until 10pm on Friday March the 30th - if we can keep up momentum and exceed our target, it opens up even more doors for the film. 7 days left, please keep sharing! Thank you again lovely people.
The Stuntman
Short Film
The Stuntman is a short drama written by David Pimm and Ruby Salter. It is a heart-warming story about a retired stuntman who still wears his extravagant costume for his new and mundane job as a driving instructor. While his age, dress and reluctance to 'let go' of his previous persona isolate him from the outside world, we come to see that the Stuntman's eccentricities are in fact a marker of his devotion to inspire; he takes just as much pride in his students' first steps as he does his old trophies and medals.
Concept artwork by Angus Richardson, available through our reward system
This is a touching short story being told without the use of dialogue. Instead, we are implementing fantastic costume, cinematography, production and sound design to create a visually compelling 5 minute film that will reach audiences internationally.
Your contributions will be spread throughout the production to create incredible costumes, set design, prepare lighting and get everything ready for our cast and crew to shoot. Some of the money will be going towards post-production costs such as printing DVDs and press packs for festival submissions to enable the film to compete and be seen by as many people as possible.

We really appreciate every contribution. In return for the financial donations we've got some great incentives to thank you for being involved, which comprise our reward system on the right. Everyone who donates is added to our newsletter where we will send updates at each stage of production. We've spent months developing the script and can’t wait to bring the characters and story to life. We intend to film The Stuntman at the start of April 2012, but for this to happen we need your help to complete our budget. Crowd funding (small amounts of money given by lots of people) is a great opportunity for independent filmmakers to get their projects made and for their audience to be directly involved in the process.
There's a special treat for everyone that donates within the first 5 days of this campaign being launched so please contribute now.

The Rewards
We want to give something back to everyone who backs The Stuntman. Our incentives range from digital downloads of stunning conceptual artwork and animations (by Angus Richardson and Billy Odell), to a behind the scenes making of video alongside the finished film on limited edition DVD.
This is a totally collaborative film that will be created thanks to everyone who supports it. There are options for those who want to come to the screening and see how their money has been put to use by watching the finished short on the big screen.
For one individual, there is an Executive Producer credit available. They will be able to visit the set during the shoot to meet the cast and crew and watch production in full flow, as well as receiving all of the other rewards.
We are incredibly grateful for any and every contribution made and thank you so much in advance for all you can do to help.
If you can't support us financially, we would be enormously grateful if you could tweet, like and share The Stuntman with anyone you know. The further this is spread, the higher our chance of hitting our target and bringing this story from script to screen.
