BANG the Skillet - mad about ska!

Take a skillet, put in some old school Ska and Rocksteady Music from the 50’s and 60’s, mix it with doo-wop, rhythm&blues, latin and balkan-like grooves, and let it cook. That is about the sound of BANG the Skillet! After the first wave in Jamaica, the second in the UK, the third in the US, this may become the fourth wave in Ska-music, right away from Delft, in the Netherlands! It is truly difficult to listen to the music of BANG the Skillet and not feel like skanking your socks off! Enjoy the funny lyrics and the good Music, come on in and let’s have a cooking Ska-party!

This project is started for covering the costs of producing, recording, mixing, mastering, printing and shipping our first full ska-album: Do The Dishes! Besides we use the budget to cover some of the costs of our tour in the UK in September and October 2012!

Oct. 6th: Dumplins Live Ska Club in London (The Fiddler's Elbow)

Horns section is done!

Today we recorder the horn section of our new CD. All songs (10) are done now! We've even put in 4 horns with 3 players......
Next thing to do are the backing vocals and percussion.... Looking forward to the first mixes!

Finally we recorded the backiong vocals last week. All the basics are on tape now! So what is next? I have to play one or two more saxophone solo's.
We have to add some percussion in several songs. After that we have to make the right mix for each song, before the album can be mastered and printed. Keep backing us. Our main goal is near :-)

all the parts for the new album are now recorded on tape! Ten brand new songs! Can't wait to hear the first mixes!

Last weeks we did all the mixing and we are busy mastering the mixes now. The release date scheduled is May 4th! A few days later the backers will receive their signed CD! I hereby want to thank all our backers for their support!
